Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Qasitli collects through qasitli.com, why, and what you can do about it. Qasitli is operated by Sales Leads for consultations and marketing L.L.C, registered in Amman, Jordan (“Qasitli”, “we”). We process personal data in line with the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023.

1. What we collect

Launch list: the email address you enter on the homepage to be told when Qasitli launches.
Merchant applications: on the Apply to join page — shop name, owner’s full name, mobile number, email, city, what you sell, and anything else you choose to tell us.
Usage data: pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, device and browser type, collected by WordPress.com / Jetpack Stats.
Spam screening: when you submit a form, its contents, your IP address and browser details are checked by Akismet to filter spam.

We do not collect card numbers, bank details or national ID numbers on this website.

2. Why we use it

To tell you when Qasitli launches and send updates you asked for (your consent — you can withdraw it at any time).
To review merchant applications and contact applicants about joining (steps you asked us to take before an agreement).
To understand how the site is used, keep it secure and block spam (our legitimate interest in running the site).

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that run the site for us: Automattic Inc. (WordPress.com hosting, Jetpack, Akismet) and our email tool MailPoet. These providers may store data outside Jordan, including in the United States. We rely on their contractual safeguards for those transfers. We may also disclose data where Jordanian law requires it.

Instalment plans are provided by your bank, not by Qasitli. When the Qasitli app launches, a separate privacy notice will cover data processed in the app.

4. How long we keep it

Launch-list emails: until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after launch, whichever comes first.
Merchant applications: 24 months from submission if no agreement is signed.
Usage statistics: in line with WordPress.com’s retention periods.

5. Cookies

The site uses cookies and similar technologies that WordPress.com and Jetpack need to serve pages, count visits and prevent abuse. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Every launch email includes an unsubscribe link. To make a request, email customer.care@qasitli.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the competent data protection authority in Jordan.

7. Children

This site is not aimed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Significant changes will be announced on this page.

Qasitli is a marketplace and does not provide credit. Instalment plans are offered by the cardholder's issuing bank through HyperPay at the time of payment; eligibility and terms are set by that bank.
